The Combined Effects of Oxytocin and Short Term Psychotherapy in the Treatment of Patients with Schizophrenia.
The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of nasal administration of Oxytocin alone, and of Oxytocin combined with Oxytocin Based Social Intervention (OBSI) in the treatment of social dysfunction in patients with schizophrenia. We are conducting a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled, three-week trial testing the effect of intranasal Oxytocin in combination with OBSI. This study includes behavioral, physiological and pharmaco-genetic aspects.
