Studying the relationship between social media usage and maladaptive psychological symptoms

The Laboratory of Gal Sheppes

Is looking for PhD, PostDoc

Position title

For a joint project of the Emotion & Self Regulation Lab (directed by Prof. Gal Sheppes), and the Visual Working Memory Lab (directed by Prof. Roy Luria), we are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral fellow/ Ph.D. student.

Job description

We offer a full-time position for the period of one year and a possibility for a second year extension.
The project is in the intersection between cognitive neuroscience and clinical psychology. Specifically, we investigate how neural working memory measures moderate the relationship between social media usage and maladaptive psychological symptoms.
The project combines performing behavioral and EEG tasks in the laboratory, together with laboratory and home measurements of actual social media usage and anxious and depressive symptoms across time.
