Research topic: Motor function and rehabilitation
Research methods: Telemetric electromyography, kinematics analysis using electronic goniometers, accelerometers and 3D motion capture system, other sensors (proximity, force, touch, etc), biofeedback, 3D printing, finite element analysis.
Projects in the lab include:
- Quantification and evaluation of the kinematics, kinetics and muscular activity patterns performed during daily activities
- Development of monitoring systems that record, analyze and provide feedback regarding the motor function of the patient
- Use 3D modeling and biomechanical analysis to design patient-specific static and dynamic braces and orthoses.
