Research topic: Pharmacogenomics and biomarkers for CNS disorders.

Research methods: Phenotyping for drug sensitivity in immortalized human lymphoblastoid cell lines, microarray profiling, RNA sequencing, gene and miRNA transfections.

Projects in the lab include:

1. Personalized treatment for major depression and other CNS disorders using transcriptomic biomarkers. For example see.

2. Understanding the role of integrin beta-3 and miR-221 in reaction to stress, major depression, and neurogenesis (in collaboration with Dr. Noam Shomron).

3. Searching transcriptomic biomarkers for early detection and per-sonalized treatment of Alzheimer’s disease (in collaboration with Prof. Illana Gozes). For example see
