The interdisciplinary Sagol School of Neuroscience
Tel Aviv University’s Sagol School of Neuroscience is the first and only neuroscience school of its kind in Israel in terms of its interdisciplinary breadth. The Sagol School of Neuroscience coordinates the curriculum and serves as a center for multidisciplinary academic teaching and research on brain science at Tel Aviv University, in close collaboration with the Adams Super Center for Brain Studies and other neuroscience institutes on campus. The Sagol School of Neuroscience is meeting the growing need to coordinate aspects of neuroscience that are being taught at several faculties, such as the life sciences, medicine, social sciences, exact sciences humanities and engineering, and to develop and initiate innovative research and teaching areas that will advance the frontiers of neuroscience. The school assembles existing multidisciplinary neuroscience programs under one administrative roof, allowing, for the first time, centralization coupled with diversification in the pursuit of excellence. The curriculum committee, in association with international cutting-edge scientific advisors, will enrich the teaching facilities to encompass broad collaborations and student-exchange programs.
