Prof. Cohen-Armon Malka
Research topic: Molecular mechanisms implicated in long-term memory
Research methods: Electrophysiology, Biochemistry, Cell biology and Molecular biology, including ChIP assay, RT-PCR, FACS, confocal microscopy and behavioral tests.
Main projects in the lab include:
- PARP1 mediated immediate early gene expression implicated in long term memory.
- PARP1-ERK2 interaction in the nucleus
- Memory erasure by PARP inhibitors, possible implications in addiction and PTSD.
